The camera has both through the lens and rotating live screen. This old pier was far above eye level, but I was able to get the shot holding the camera overhead and composed it on the screen.
Nobody gets a pic like this on purpose… including me. But I'll take it just the same.
I keep getting surprised by the Canon PowerShot SX30 IS "backup" camera. I need to start using it more.
Scratch an itch.
Look at the color and clarity. Some backup!
I just can't resist a pretty face.
Ready for takeoff.
This (and the next one) may be one of the coolest water bird pics I've take as far as the water is concerned.
This water is as it came out of the camera. Nothing Photoshopped here. (I wouldn't know how.)
Big ol' picture with lots going on, but what do you see?
Are these reflections great or what!
I'm really enjoying this camera. Set it on auto and shoot!
I think this is a snowy egret. It's fishing in some very shallow water.
This guy was hiding by some rocks and was a little leery of me.
I really like the light on this bird.
What you lookin' at? Me? Well punk, are ya?
Fortunate to get this shot.
I obviously didn't see this moment until a saw the photo. Timing is often a matter of taking lots of shots.
Not quite sure where the red reflection came from. Could have been sky or some lights.
Looking for the last snack of the evening?
It's a big scene with a tiny little scene stealer.
